New evidence of the existence of Bigfoot has been found in the Garo Hills of Northern India. Two short hairs were picked up in the forest several years ago and believed to be from the elusive Yeti. Tests have been done on the hairs, but have failed to link to any known creature.
Local people in India believe that they yeti is real, and there have been several sightings in the area. The creature is said to eat the sap from trees, leaving a trail of branches in its wake. The yeti is known as ‘Mande Barung’ or forest man by the people of the Garo Hills.
The hairs have undergone several tests and DNA tests are one of the next steps. Although the DNA tests may not determine the identity of the creature, it may help to figure out what kind of species it is. Is it Bigfoot, or is it a new and as yet undiscovered primate?
